To whomever this may concern,

For the last four years I've been blogging and blogging, sharing my ideas and stories - etc.

These last couple of months the time and urge to blog became less and less and well, Twitter became the new addiction.

But what is Twitter with so many messages and no real page where I can simply keep a photo-diary/mind-flick?

I mean, I like to just go somewhere and have a small diary-overview-thingy!

That's why I started a Tumblr: SONNYGROO.TUMBLR.COM

For how long it will be fun, I have no idea.

In a way, the blog is where it all started, the very first chapter.

But perhaps it's time to wave goodbye and see where Tumblr will take me.

As for now, I wave bye bye to this blog and my long-lasting nickname ABDUL LAGERFIELD.

It's almost as if the little kid in me is growing up, ha.

Blend International Magazine #4

The new issue of Blend Magazine is out and has hit the stands world-wide. The issue holds 50+ pages of Maison Martin Margiela archive, a gorgeous profile on the super-talented Iris van Herpen and my shoot above. Adding, it holds mucho more of course, but that's for yourself to find out.

Yesterday we had the most amazing Christmas Dinner with the team - I'm still stuffed - but besides that we also made plans for the next year and all I can say - adding to all that's coming with Mykromag - it's going to be one of those magazine you need to keep an eye on. And I suggest you all start by checking out the current issue, ha.

no more facebook.

After posting the photos in the previous post (see below) to Facebook I received a message that one of the photos crossed their Terms and will be deleted. Two minutes later my whole account was deleted, or well.. disabled.

It's the second day without Facebook and even-though I missed a meeting yesterday-eve and couldn't meet up with friends from out of town, it kinda made me aware of how much we all rely on this online community. My Facebook Inbox is more important then my Gmail or Mykromag Inbox is and my Photo-Albums are more valuable then I figured they were as they capture memories and moments with certain comments that are un-replacable.

Of course, I had close to 5000 friends, which certainly weren't all real real friends, but Facebook isn't just a friends-thing only, it became an image-controlling-something, a way for me to show who I am, what I do, what I'm going to do, with who I'm doing to do things or did things, etc. Facebook made it more easy to put my name out there or get in touch with many others.

So what to do now? I've send out three email and read 20 pages online on people who are disabled as well. There are even groups of people coming together to fight the disable thing on Facebook; people who are disabled for a silly reason and without a second warn or explanation, disabled.

I would love to get my page back, but if it doesn't happen I'm not sure if I will open a new one. I makes me think: What's the thing after Facebook?

From the age of 12 I've had profiles and I'm pretty sure Facebook isn't going to be the last one. In a way, we all kinda left Myspace for what it is as well, right? So for now, no Facebook. Maybe I'll be back before the New Year, maybe I will never be back. All I can say right now: TWITTER.COM/SONNYGROO

CANDY MAGAZINE ISSUE TWO

For the second issue of Candy I was asked to style two stories. One with my dear friend Jean-Paul Paula, adding the amazing photographers duo Anuschka Blommers and Niels Schumm. The clothes came from Viktor & Rolf and Grace Jones was on the google-roll. The second one was with Edward Vigiletti in New York adding Marcelo Krasilcic behind the camera. Lady Gaga inspired, but a bit more naked/nude. The clothes came from my favorite young designers shipped from Los Angeles, Montreal and you name it where.

I'm pretty sure all the issues are sold out - which isn't that hard as the issue is truly one of the most kicking-ass ones I've seen this year - and guessing many of you have seen the images by now, but figured it would be nice to show you my favorite ones without any lay-out, adding: backstage snaps! Thank you Luis - once more - and on to the next one! x

It took us a while, but after a couple of issues online, 3 exhibitions and lots of traveling we are proud to release our very first issue in print!

Last Friday I flew to Stockholm - my very first time ever - to be part of the Marc O'Polo Casual Friday Party. The team asked me and Jessica from Les Mads to attend the event; style a couple of people and have a small speech on stage - in which I mentioned how much I like the city so far and that it's my very first time being in Copenhagen, oeps I mean Stockholm - that I will not continue talking about, if you now understand why, ha.

Either way, knowing Marc O'Polo as a brand for only a tiny bit, I can now say they seriously have some really nice items. And the store - which is a must-visit, so if you are in Stockholm make sure drop by some time on Biblioteksgatan 11 to be precise - holds really good and strong pieces. For example yhey have lovely denim/jeans, but seriously good knitwear, long sweaters and cardigans and wow leather jackets and some nice nice bags to add. It's one of those brands that holds the whole picture, so you can easily get your hands on a few nice items e voila. / See the sweater I'm wearing for example, nice right!

Special thanks to the entire team, from Berlin to Stockholm. I really had a great time, even though it was a speedy-visit and I didn't really see anything from Stockholm - which means I have to come back - it surely made my week and I can't wait for a Marc O'Polo Store to open here in Amsterdam!

It's nothing new when I say Interview if my favorite magazine. Reason why? Every single issue they release is making my heart beat twice as fast and smile at the same time. For example, this editorial with supermodel Naomi Campbell which is shot by the insanely talented Mert and Marcus and one of my all-time heroes Karl Templer.

I'm in Paris at the moment and hopefully Colette will receive the issue any day soon. Can't wait, absolutely can't wait to see the rest of the issue. Interview, heaven.

These two months in New York have made me realize many things, they made me learn more about myself, about others, from others and well, they made me grow.

Even though the uploading takes forever, it's good to see part of my crazy schedule and well, lovely days here in New York. From Dia:Beacon somewhere upstate to many photo-shoots, Esme her Birthday bash, dinner at one of the crazy Indian places, shopping with Mike, running around with my team of angels and whatever more.

Yesterday I had a lovely BBQ from Style Like U, today I'm heading to see Chris in New Jersey and hunt for locations and oh yes, Louis has his exhibition tonighte! If only they had a better lookbook, gosh. The collection for Spring/Summer 2011 looks great. Styling wise, great, items separated from each other great. But oh goddamnit the lookbook. Will do a new post when I visited the showroom.

Balenciaga
Simple, classic, stunning.

Dunhill
Kim Jones, rocks. The modern, not so trendy, male will hopefully wear this. It's almost not eyecatching, but if you look closely, details. The suits and blazers are insane, deeeply in love!

Thom Browne
If anyone made a statement this season it was Thom. Besides having the models walk the runway with sunglasses and colored lips, it as all about the two-button and knee-length trousers, suits. Lots of lines, shark-prints and great styling. Any men who dares, please do. Oh yes, please do!

More designers, more collections, more shows.

And as Lanvin completely blew me away, the shapes, the fabrics, wow. I also heard Damir Doma was sublime, which I should check out in a second. Eitherway, here's a small selection of my new favorites, enjoy.

Dior Homme
Good show, great pieces, lovely asian models at the end, etc. The clothes look like they we're flying on the runway, gorgeous movement and so one. I would love to meet Kris and have a chat, it feels as if this collection is a pre something mucho bigger.

Lanvin
If only I was at this show, wow. Look at the new volumes, the choices of fabrics, the color-picks, the movement, all the details and the mix of punk meets class. I'm deeply in love and simply, wow. The last photos above, the black coat, took my breath away, it's seriously out of control, wow. Thank you Alber and Lucas, thank you.

Raf Simons
Tight up and wide below, the silhouette the designer is showing up this season. Mostly sleeveless and very classic, white shirt with a tie and great trousers, wide ones to be exact. Shirts included, and so one. Always good, Raf rocks.

This morning I woke up reading a message Jean-Paul send to Iris Apfel on how much I would love to meet her. Little did he know I spent last nighte reading more about her.

Iris Apfel to me is someone with a good spirit, a great style and a big inspiration. She makes my day by enjoying life and wearing the most amazing accessories. I can only hope to end up being her age and having this kind of style.

But when I do, I hope Jean Paul will be there as well, forever friends yes. Love you. x

mens fashionweek spring 2011, part 2.

I've never seen so many skirts and dresses for men in one season. Or even the change of shape, length and accessories. The guys for Spring/Summer 2011 better be prepare, because it's not gay, it's not feminine at all, it may be the new masculinity.

One thing is for sure, print is back. In logo's such as Vuitton shows us, or in animal print such as Givenchy did. Mixing this with lots of denim, such as Dries van Noten and Prada showed us, to head on to the most amazing suits you can think of.

Here are a couple of my new favorites:

Comme des Garcons
Deeply in love with the shapes, the print and like always, Comme des Garcons holds on to it's signature. My compliments Rei, once more.

Givenchy
What resort showed us before, kicks in for mens too. It seems Ricardo wants us all to wear animal print, which I truly adore. He also wants all the guys to wear leggings and skirts, hmm.. Let's see how many fashion die-hard will copy and when H&M will start to copy. Interesting and very pretty collection. Can't wait for womens.

Jean Paul Gaultier
A show that holds fun, edge, style and fashion. It's something for everyone, if you dare or don't, it has many option. I myself, love the more dressed-up looks, the matching, the flowing ones. But do check it out, it's a great collection. And also, a really nice casting.

Rick Owens
Everything is more then just a basic items, but far from going crazy. I'm deeply in love with the wearable feel and hope people will copy. Also, those boots, love!

Alrighty, we've seen the technique before, but with a group of models looking this good? Nah-ah! Let's hope other labels are keeping up, the label is one of the few who fits with time without loosing her signature. Can't wait to receive new looks from them for Mykromag her very first printed issue. We're almost ready! :)

Oh wow, so this is my 1000th post!

Sitting on the rooftop of my apartment here in Brooklyn, New York. Life is smiling my way and I feel relaxed, I feel very happy. Looking back for a second remembering what started as a diary on profile pages then became a blog on Myspace, turned into this blog that got me in my very first runway shows and supported me to make Mykromag happen.

I can say I'm very happy to be where I am today, being 22, knowing all that's going to happen and curious to found out the parts I haven't thought of yet. If the future is now, let her start from this very moment. I feel more ready then ever! Amen.

If you know me, you know I'm a big fan of Calvin Klein. This season the hair may win, love it so mucho, very very nice. But second, or well maybe first afterall, have you seent he suits, the materials, the cuts, etc. The shirts are amazing, the turquoise (I did a turquoise suit story yesterday) and the short shirts, fits, deeply in love. Thank you Italo, once more. On to next season already, maybe we can skip Fall/Winter 2010-11, ha. x

And as the Summer kicks in, menswear designers show the collections for next Spring 2011. So far, lots of leather and pretty nudes. This with flowers and pop-colors. Seems like a lovely Spring 2011 for me so far! :)

Here are my favorite picks:

Burberry
No season without Burberry coats. Above my favorite, the leather jackets from Srping 2010 are amazing! And hey, did you see the black treckings/trousers for men? Leather! Love.

Costume National
Lovely nude colors are Costume National this season. Great styling as well, on the list!

Jil Sander
I may not be the most colorful person, no. I may not wear any color myself lately, no. But I can't go under/over/around this Jil Sander collection by Raf Simons, it's so simply yet so strong. The lines, the hot colors, the casting, the whole eye-catching feel and mostly, the flower shirts. Musthaves.

(For all the color items, see men dot style dot come, trust me: brilliant!)

Versace
Great suits, great great suits! And strong black and white prints. Not so sure about the styling and maybe I would say too rock-a-billy - let other designers do that - but the items in this collection are really good. Deff on my list for editorials!

PS. Missoni may have showed a great menswear collection, looking at the presentation and all. The lookbook on men dot style dot come is however to cry your eyes out this bad. Trust me, the collection looks waay better, seriously! And, have you guys seen Emporio Armani? The end is the-the-best. Have to find some better pics. x

The first thing that popped in my head when Blend told me the Music Issue was next, was a huge group-story. However, with no budget and a deadline around the corner I wasn't really sure how to pull this off. Eventually it turned out that when having enthusiastic people around you, there is always a way.

My very first big group-story, it was once of the best shoots ever, the most fun and I can't, seriously, can't wait to do another one. Maybe on location this time, somewhere in the sun, ha.

The first thing that popped in my head was, oh fucking wow. This is a-mazing. The print, the africa-inspired jewels, the colors, the message, beyond strong. Love love it.

I don't share his taste, I don't think his collection will become my favorite. However, the casting, the styling, the clothing themselves, well-well-done. Really, it's a really pretty, wearable, eye-catching and stunning collection.

Proenza Schouler
How can I just not love them? I do hope they keep the metalic-thing going. Really nice.

Stella McCartney
One of the most amazing collections I've seen in a while. Go to style dot com and check it yourself, it's flawless!

The Row
The right basics, cuts and musthaves. Nothing that won't make you feel good, this is modern luxery in a really cool way.

Somewhere around February/March I became Fashion Editor for Blend. They decided to hit the International market and launch four issues a year to be selling around the world and six issues added to them to only hit the European market.

For the very first International Issue I asked Petrovsky & Ramone to join forces with Venus Waterman and myself to do a 40+ page story. From The Red Light District to the studio, from lots of color to black and white, the story holds it all. Including labels as Azzedine Alaia, Burberry Prorsum, Celine, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Maison Martin Margiela and many others. It's a great first issue, on to the next one!

What happened? Did I had a blog-burn-out? A blog-I'm-so-over-it? I dunno. All I remember is whenever I tried to blog, I rather didn't. Or well, ended up having a zillion drafts and no real posts. Maybe it was the week everything happened or maybe it was time for a break, I dunno.

Last week I told a friend I gave up on blogging. I've been doing it forever, from all the profile pages where I was writing down a diary to Myspace 5/6 years ago and eventually here on blogger dot com. I also said I now Tweet a lot and that Twitter may have kicked Blogger's ass. Maybe that's still true, maybe it's not.

As for now, lots of things have happened and for some reason I can't find these couple of months back. No photos of the moments nor my opinion and mind-walk. I guess this means, I miss my blog and I simply miss blogging.

So let's do a small update, for all of you who may like me being back writing and bullshitting on my blog and for myself so whenever I want to look back, it only takes a minute and all is here. Hopsa, here we go again! :)

Yesterday during the Mykro-Meeting Ava showed me the newly launched CANDY. A new found magazine by the brilliant Luis Venegas that doesn't put the focus on male/female, boy/girl or actually any gender. It's about the gender-bender-trans feel and mostly very unique in his kind.

In this very first issue there was one editoral that really blew me away. Callum Wilson, who I think is great anyways, got shot by Karim Sadli and styled by Robbie, who I think is one of today's biggest talents coming from the new gen, Spencer. The styling includes different Lacroix Couture Archive pieces who turns Callum into something else, all done perfectly.

This story is one of the few I've seen in a long time that makes my heart smile. A good story in a great magazine, pushing limits, creating space for whatever theres to come. CANDY MAGAZINE, a must-buy. Robbie Spencer, a name we should all remember.

Remember my trip to Los Angeles? The one from a couple of weeks ago? Well, I styled Ameerah for her first music-video, which got released yesterday and I seriously can't wait for it to air worldwide!

And as I've already heard the song a zillion of times on the radio and the fact that she holds the #3 position on the US Billboard Dancecharts; I'm pretty sure it's a hit. Plus adding Ameerah her kick-ass personality, insane drive and voice that seriously will blow you away; I can honestly say that this is only the beginning!

This previous weekend MykroMag and myself were featured in Het Algemeen Dagblad, one of the biggest newspapers in The Netherlands. The one page article, written by the always amazing Xaviera Aubri, shows a range of bloggers/creatives who got somewhere by starting a blog.

The article includes the ones we all know; and it's a huge compliment to be put in the same range. But besides the photos and the box about MykroMag below; it's a really well-written article that hopefully will push the less fashion-minded/interested readers to visit our websites. Or maybe we'll inspire many others.

It also hit me; that I started to blog less - mostly because of time these days and my freaking schedule - and my blog could actually use an update on links and maybe a little make-over. Oh well, let me put it on the to-do list and head back to work.

I guess we all look for something, work up to something, hope to meet something, create something and so on and on. At times, we almost forget all we have, all we are surrounded by. But for some of us, it's the hunt, the push, the many nights of no sleep and the constant walk that keeps us alive. I can say 'work-a-holic', but the road to Utopia may fit better.

Tonight, I was this close to give up on my hunt, this path, the road to my Utopia. However my love for all I'm doing simply told me 'not doing it' is no option, therefore I have to continue. Behind the zillion Facebook-friends; the poses; outfits and trips/jobs/stories, I'm simply a young creative with a lot of ambition, who lives for creative talents around the world and will connect them to whatever in fashion and any media, from a magazine to a website, as he wants to show the crowd out there all he believes in and hopes to inspire so many others.

Unfortunately the amount of support in this country is no-where to be find; and as the team gets more busy and we all don't make a lot of money, it's about giving even more, in hoping to receive more as well. Which makes it hard at times. Times as tonight. And therefore, all I can do now is to live by 'all or nothing'; continue what we've started and hope for the best to come our way. Maybe it explains why so many others have left this place. Maybe it's time to move. But where-to? And how?

Let a new chapter begin.

Maybe I should start with an apology for not blogging the last couple of weeks. Ever since we arrived back in Amsterdam I had no time to relax, sit down or what-so-ever. Now, a couple of days later and several jobs, sandwiches and apple-juices behind me, I'm back on track and will promise to blog more. Either way, sorry.

So what's new? Lemme see.. Jean-Paul moved in with Bubba and me, therefore we are like Charlie's Angeles, The Powerpuff Girls or you name it. Magic three sum, slightly Sex and The City, yet younger and yes, gay.

Oh and I found myself an amazing new assistant named Aleph Jarren. So whenever you see me and some cute redhead, c'est him.

Anyway, with a new season ahead of us, meaning in terms of fashion or well maybe in real life too, I'm happy to be surrounded by real friends, family and people I care about.

As I'm sitting on my bed with a small can of corn and some fruit-juice that doesn't really have any vitamins left, I'm good. And as this all may not make sense to many of you, I'll blog what I need to write down, therefore this as well:

'Sometimes you need to take distance from it all to get a better, a more clear view. Other times you need to get in there, all the way, to find out what's the real deal. But either way, anyhow, we all like a hug at times and can’t always be happy and smiling. However it are those who can look beyond what you wear, how you act and all that's there, the ones that will make it to the next chapter.'

And with a book coming up, a couple of trips, many stories and a zillion cool new things that I can't share yet, but will do when the time is right, my team and I are ready and whoever can make it, whoever will push it, we'll ask you to hop on board.

Together is the future. And the future, yes, it's ours!

Francisco, hmm. How basic can you go. And why? As we all know theres way more, mucho more, going on in your head and so mucho more to show us. It however shows the way we'll walk, a white and soft, clean and clear style. And for that, my compliments.

Erin Fetherston
Grown-up! Less sweet, less cute times a zillion, but more wearable, in a chic way, yet still the touch that Erin is known for. I became a big fan a few seasons ago, with the last one on top. But this time, she really kicked-ass. From dresses with a small detail, who every woman can wear to wherever she needs to go, to editorial pieces, and ones only the real fashionistas will rock. My tumbs are up, way to go Erin!

Marchesa
Georgina Chapman, a brilliant young lady, who's bringin the old-days back to the new ones and creating gorgeous pieces that today's A-list will be rocking on many events and red carpets. My favorite one, the second above, blow my mind. A folded black and white, very origami-dress. I wonder who'll rock this one.

Matthew Ames
The future. Protect yourself, don't stress yourself. Gorgeous one pieces or looks what match easily together. On the list as one of my favs thus far. Love it!

Oscar de la Renta
So many models, so many looks. As Oscar is all about the real 'power-woman' I was kinda missing his 'power-dresses' in this collection. However, looking at the zillion accessories and very wearable clothing, maybe it's still 'all about selling'. Eitherway, my picks kinda remind me of Marc Jacobs and GianFranco Ferre a few seasons ago, yet it still shows Oscar his vision is timeless.

Phi
Another season, yet still not there. Great looks, kick-assshoes, good models, but missing that certain edge. Andreas Melbostad knows how to design, but the rest is still not coming (out). However, as always a strong collection with some of my fav pieces, maybe it's time for him to do menswear too?

And ofcourse I also saw amazing pieces at Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler and Rodarte, but the styling is far beyond my taste, therefore I couldn't post them. But the collections are deff. worth checking, yes yes. As for now, on to London!

David Delfin, who's actually named Diego David Domínguez González, may be a new kid showing during New York Fashion Week, but he's one of the names to write down, mark and deff. keep an eye on. For Spring/Summer 2010 the designer provided us with a quite colorfull collection, with ofcourse the always graphic and unisex, or maybe a little more androgyness, feel.

If you peek the clothing a little close, you'll see trousers with a skirt-front or shirts and cardigans who turn out to be a dress. But the favorite ones will remain the known items in a different texture and crazy coloring. Plus, small details as one arm, floating backs and shorts over trousers in the same colour.

Smart dressing, well-done styling, good models selection and Louboutin shoes make this show and collection one of my favs so far. x

I'm at home, working a bit on MykroMag as I just found that at this very moment Jay Brannan is doing a few songs at The Melkweg here in Amsterdam. Okay, I have to add I'm not a huuge fan and I kinda forgot about him, but while listening to his songs again, I fucking hate hate I'm not there at the moment.

Eitherway, this song 'Housewife' kinda kicked my heart. For all who know me, and prob even if you don't, in the end we want to find someone to love and share our lives with, more then that Balenciaga thingy or Givenchy something. Oh well, someday someday. And hopefully someday soon, ha.

Guess who's backkk! Yes Yes, Miss It's Amazing, Omg I die, Bananas.

The Rachel Zoe Project is back with a whole new season and it's again mucho crazy as it was the first time. Or probably like always, ha. But with a new office, a bigger team and a thicker skin, Rachel shows she knows what she likes and what she can do the best, making women feel and look beyond beautiful.

And eventhough I would choose other looks and style them in a different way, it's a great show to see and I'm happy someone posted it online. I think Rachel is a huge inspiration to many of us as she's creating an imperium, working on what she loves most and enjoys fashion, which you can tell. Only met her once, hopefully again soon.

I came across this little vid slash moment of 'Who are you Polly Maggoo?' which I've probably posted before, but oh well. With all the fuzz around 'The September Issue', my memory flips back to some older ones, maybe not perse about editors or a magazine, but fashion back in the 60ies for example.

Who are you Polly Maggoo is a must-see, and this runway show keeps fascinating me. I guess it's time we go back to go forward. Gosh, I love them old-days. I wonder how it would be if we all dressed in the way the people were, back in the 60ies, but with Macbooks, iPods and Blackberries. Twittering in your head-to-toe matching look and, ha. Let's not go there.

They shows the clothes, the accessories and in a sublime way and shot in one we haven't seen in a while, fading away most of the colours, but still clear and very strong. Love them all! x

I've already seen The September Issue and it's a good one. Nothing too much, nothing too crazy, very enjoyable, tumbs up. I actually think it's a great documentary, as it will reach out to so many people; it's understandable, it's fashionable, it's a good balance of the real world and the one we call fashion.

Plus we all kind a have to love Anna. In the end she's simply a petit madame who's looking smashing, remains the bob and adores fashion and all her talent.

Lara Stone By Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for Vogue Paris September Issue 2009.

If you know me, you know I'm not down with this Lara Stone hype. Ofcourse I can see she's sublime, unique, gorgeous and very sexy. But I don't go wow when she walks the runway and I dislike the vamp she became. So. When I see a cover like this, eventhough she had an entire issue dedicated to and about her just a few months ago, I do smile. I think turning her into a sexy, powerfull and gorgeous brunette who plays, looks beyond sexy and is a name we all know and haven't seen, meaning her, looking like this before. Tumbs up to Carine. I guess that's why there's only on Carine and you have to love her. - Right Piersten, ha.

Tumbs up. The cover is exactly what we need. Eyecatching, without screaming for attention. Some wouldn't even see it's Lara. And to put her on the cover again, nothing wrong with that. I hope more women will follow this look, very classy. Love it! On to the next season, the shows are around the corner and I can't can't wait! x

Maybe I should come up with a line of my own. In that way I never have to think about what to wear and I'm sure there are plenty of guys around who would die for the boots in the mens-mens-sizes.

The new issue of Blend is out and hits the stores by Monday I guess. In the issue you'll find one of the stories I did in New York; the one with the amazing Lindsey Wixson. I truly fell in love with her, as she's great to work with, so young and so so unique. And as I came up with the idea to give her red hair, Tetsu handmade her a red wig which took over eight hours, but the result is to die for.

I'm very happy seeing the photos in print. Above I posted a few of the bunch.

After a little visit to Robbie Spencer his blog, I came across the trailer for Man on Wire. A documentary, a story, a dream. Someone who smiles beyond words and will do what he feels he wants and needs to do. A true inspiration.

Not that I now want to walk a rope or be on top of some kind of building, but it's good seeing this and I really want to see the rest of the docu! <3.

The September Issues are popping out and I think Harper's Bazaar is killing the others. Their US edition is beyond. I can't find the editorial with Naomi, but she's having fun with monkey, riding animals and running with others, the issue shows supermodels and you can tell!

Or, as shown above, supermodels with no makeup. Beauty that may not be 2009, or maybe it's just very 2009 in a way, a weird way. I think it's beautiful how a magazine can show two sides of fashion, the personal pure one and the high-fashion more extreme aswell. Not crossing borders, only pushing them.

Oh and yes, I do think the Leighton Meester and Agyness Deyn covers for the US edition aren't the best picks. I also think the Agyness as Michael Jackson story, which is styled in a massive way, should belong in i-D or Dazed. Not in Harper's Bazaar.

The other day I met Elisa Goodkind after she called me to feature my style on her website Style Like U. We had a fun talk, I brought a bunch of clothes and she filmed and snapped away. It was good meeting someone who may not be one of today's young kids, but still has the love for what she does and takes this to the next level, by using internet, film, etc.

It has been a while I came across a story that has it all. Fresh faces, good styling, nice location, sublime photography, etc. In a way it's not crossing any borders, it's not overstyled or has topmodels in it, etc.

In the end, this story is simply about two girls. Wearing no colour, almost no clothing either, ha, but when they do wear some, it's in a simple way, nothing many other magazines couldn't pull off. And that balance, that what makes it to me a sublime story. And it is one, because what they do, you tell me. <3.

I still have a zillion photos to upload, but here are a few more from the last two weeks.

Can't believe I'm back in Amsterdam already, the two months flew by and it's crazy how fast everything went. Thinking back at the many shoots, the trip to Los Angeles and who-all I met during this journey in New York, maybe two months are simply two months and I need to get my ass back as soon as possible.

And eventhough I missed my connection in London on my way back and my luggage was missing for a little bit, I'm all good. Well, thats it for now, finishing MykroMag her third issue, which will be out in a few hours from now. So keep an eye on that and can't wait to be back in New York!

It has been a while since an editorial blew me away. Today it happen again, Vogue Nippon's story with Raquel Zimmermann shot by Mert & Marcus. I wonder who styled it.. can't wait to get my hands on this issue! x
